Frequently Asked Questions

AI
Yes, many modern kohl pencils are formulated to be gentle. Brands like Max Factor and e.l.f. often offer options designed for sensitive eyes, but always check for hypoallergenic claims and patch test if you have known sensitivities.
To reduce smudging, ensure your eyelids are oil-free before application. Setting the liner with a matching eyeshadow powder can significantly increase longevity. Choosing waterproof or long-wear formulas also helps maintain the look.
Kohl pencils typically have a softer, creamier texture that blends easily for a smoky effect, often used on the waterline. Standard eyeliner pencils may be harder and waxier, designed for precise lines on the lash line rather than soft diffusion.
